Two Gripped For “Stealing” Motorbikes

Two suspected armed robbers are in police grips for robbing their victims of a Honda and a V-5 Apsonic motorbikes in the Bolgatanga Municipality in the Upper East Region.

The two, Mbabila Gideon and Castro Permadok, were part of three who robbed their victims on Saturday, December 18.

They were rounded by a Special Anti-Robbery Squad in collaboration with the Upper East Regional Police Command through an intelligence-led operation yesterday.

During interrogation, the suspects admitted to the crime and revealed the motorbikes are in the possession of their accomplice known only as L.K who is on the run.

It was also revealed through police interrogation that L.K has with him, a locally manufactured pistol which they used for their robbery expeditions.

“The two suspects who have been identified by their victims are currently in Police custody assisting the investigations to arrest their accomplice, L.K.”
