These Are Cheap Goals; Ogum on Nations FC’s 2 Goals

According to the head coach of Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum, all goals the Porcupines have been conceding in recent games are from mistakes committed by his players.

His opponents have been preying on his team’s mistakes on the field to punish them leaving them currently in the eighth place with 15 points on the log.

At a presser after conceding two goals against Nations FC on November 17, he characterized the goals as “cheap”.

“Look at the goals we’ve been giving out. I mean, these are not goals that the opponents worked for. These are cheap goals and some of these goals when you concede them, they discourage you but we have to accept responsibility for that and move on.”

Despite the bad spell, Ogum still stands by his resolution for the season.

“There are more games to go so we still stand by our purpose. It’s all about finding solutions to where the problem is. Once we are able to find a solution, we will be good to go.”

Meanwhile, he defended his new recruits as quality players who have the propensity to turn things around.

“I’m not disappointed in the recruitment. These are good and quality players they can turn things around. I still have hope in them, I still trust that they can turn things around.”
