Asantehemaa Dɔte Yie: Day 3 Rites End To Usher In Final Day

The third day of burial rites for the Queen of the Asante Kingdom, Nana Konadu Yiadom III, has concluded to usher in the final rites to make way for Her Majesty to rest with her ancestors.
The rites were observed on September 17, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
The Asante Kingdom, led by the King, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, was joined by members of the National House of Chiefs and Regional Houses, Ministers of State, Diplomatic Corps, Parliamentarians and MCEs & DCEs.
Among them were the Deputy Eswatini Prime Minister, Senator Thulisile Dladla, President of the National House of Chiefs, Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II, Paramount Chief of the Aflao Traditional Area, Torgbui Amenya Fiti V, Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene and the Acting Chief Justice, Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie.
The carefully planned burial rites, which started on September 15 with a series of activities, will come to an end on September 18.
Her Majesty will be buried on the last day at Breman Baamu.
Filing past is reserved to take place sequentially among dignitaries and the general public from September 15 to 18, between 5 am and 5 pm, except for the last day, when it will end at 11 am to make way for a burial service at 3 pm.
A key point to note is the institution of the restriction on outdoor movement effective 7 pm on September 18 to make way for the burial of Her Majesty.
