CAF Champions League Draw: Kotoko to face FC Nouadhibou in preliminary round
Asante Kotoko SC have been paired with the champions of Mauritanian Premier League FC Nouadhibou in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League for the 2020/21 season.
The two-time CAF Champions League winners was drawn alongside the Mauritanian club during a draw for the competition on Monday.
Winner of the two-legged fixture will face either Al Hilal of Sudan or Ugandan giants Vipers FC
FC Nouadhibou is the most successful club in Mauritania Football, winning their top-flight league eight times.
They have emerged as champions for three consecutive season since 2017/18 season.
FC Nouadhibou was founded in 1999
The club qualified for the group stage of the 2019-20 CAF Confederation Cup after defeating Triangle FC of Zimbabwe 4-3 on aggregate in the play-off round
Asante Kotoko in their previous stint was axed by Etoil Sportive Du Sahel by 3:2 on aggregate.
