Samuel Boateng Opens Account In Kotoko, Scores in Kotoko First home League Match

Striker Samuel Boateng has fabulously opened his scoring account in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday when Asante Kotoko beat Bechem United.
The Porcupines recorded a late drama 2-0 win in the second league game of the Ghana Premier League at their favorite Baba Yara Stadium.

Captain Ismail Abdul-ganiu got the breakthrough for Asante Kotoko from the spot in the 83rd minute of the game after sensational Isaac Oppong was brought down in the 18-yard box of Bechem United.

The ‘Reds’ double their lead through young attacker Samuel Frimpong who headed in from a close range cross from Imoro Ibrahim to cap the game for Kotoko.

The former Future Stars Academy lad who failed to score in his debut game in the Ghana Premier League braved the odds to punctuate the Baba Yara Sports Stadium Homecoming with a goal.
The young attacker has been tipped to hit the acme for Asante Kotoko following how he has positioned himself as a striker.

He scored 16 goals in the Second Division last season for Future Stars Academy and also inspired their qualification to Division One.
Kotoko is currently leading the league log with six points after two games.
