Otumfuo Is the Best King So Far- Asanteman Fulanihene

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has been crowned the best king by all standards by the Fulani community domiciled in Asanteman.

While paying their respect to the King as he sat in the state during the “Ahoho Da” at the Manhyia Palace on April 24, 2024, the leader of the community who is also the Vice President of the Fulani Association of Ghana, Chief Usman Bin Ahmed Koita, outlined the achievements of the King in education, sanitation and other areas through his NGO, Otumfuo Foundation.

He also highlighted the honesty, faithfulness and truthfulness of His Majesty.

“Otumfuo is the best King so far,” he asserted.

The Frafra Community led by Naaba Musah Akanbonga who doubles as the President of the Council of Zongo Chiefs for his part prayed Otumfuo’s achievement surpasses that of Israel’s King Solomon.

“We are happy today. Many people call His Majesty King Solomon because of his wisdom but we pray that he achieves more than Solomon achieved. We pray that through him the aroma of Asanteman diffuses into all parts of the world. Our reception in Asanteman has been one of hospitality. We thank him so much.”

Meanwhile, the Zongo community gifted the King a white horse.

The submissions of these groups reflect their reverence for the King as well as their satisfaction with the hospitality they have received on the Asante land.

As part of his Silver Jubilee Celebrations, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II hosted 43 ethnic groups domiciled on his land at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Wednesday.

It was an opportunity for the various groups to exhibit their tradition and culture before the King as well as pay homage to him on the “Ahoho Da”.

It was also an affirmation of the bond and friendship between Asanteman and these groups.

Present at the event were dignitaries including Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi, the President of the National House of Chiefs and Paramount Chief of Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area; Naa Puowele Karbo III, the Vice President of the National House of Chiefs and the Paramount Chief of the Lawra Traditional Area in the Upper West Region; and the Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Stephen Asamoah Boateng.
