Rising Insecurity in Amansie West as Armed Robbery Cases Escalate

Residents of the Amansie West District in the Ashanti Region are living in constant fear as armed robbery attacks in the area continue to rise.

Criminals, often striking in broad daylight, have been targeting commuters, traders, and locals, making away with cash and valuables.

A recent incident between Mmoseaso and Antoakrom has deepened concerns, as residents recount how these attacks have become a recurring threat.

Many fear travelling on roads connecting Antoakrom, Mmoseaso, Anwiankwanta, and Manso Nkwanta, uncertain when the next attack might occur.

With most residents engaged in farming and trading, the robberies pose a severe risk to livelihoods.

They are calling on the government and security agencies to intervene by boosting security in the district.

Additionally, they believe improving the poor road network could help curb these attacks, as criminals take advantage of the bad roads to execute their crimes.
