Richmond Lamptey Marks Kotoko Debut With A Phenomenal Man of Match Display
Asante Kotoko sizzling midfielder Richmond Lamptey was adjudged Man of the Match in his team’s win over Dreams FC in their opening game of the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League.
The former Inter Allies midfielder and West Africa Football Academy was impressive for the Porcupine Warriors as they came from behind to beat Dreams FC 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Lamptey was an exciting lad to watch in his debut game for Kotoko. He showed great composure, phenom, confidence and inspired Kotoko’s victory.
Abdul Fatawu Issahaku broke the deadlock in the 64th minute after a brilliant run to give the home side the lead. He went past four players to put the ball at the back of the net.
Mudasiru got the equalizer for Asante Kotoko late in the game in the 85th minute.
Isaac Oppong increased the scoreline for the away side two minutes later.
Richmond Lamptey scored in the closing minutes of the game with his trademark goal to give the Porcupine Warriors a deserving 3-1 win.
Lamptey’s brilliance was unimaginable and makes the game so simple yet very influential to coerce his side.
He is among the players supporters of Asante Kotoko are looking forward to really establish themselves soon to hit the ground running for their team.
