Police Commences Nationwide Clamp-Down On Unapproved Vehicle Lamps
The Police Service says it has begun a nationwide clamp-down on vehicles using unapproved lamps.
The operation began in the Eastern, Northern and Western-North Regions where more than 300 unapproved lights were removed.
It is being furthered to the other 13 regions where the police say, possible prosecution of offenders will be effected if necessary.
According to the police, research has indicated that the installation of unapproved lamps negatively affects the vision of other motorists, especially at night, causing accidents.
Vehicle owners have therefore been cautioned to desist from installing such lamps on their vehicles.
Persons with such lamps are also urged to remove them.
