Police Arrest 1, Kill 2 “Pray For Us” VIP Bus Armed Robbers

The police have arrested one person in connection with the robbery attack on a VIP bus that was conveying over 40 passengers from Takoradi to Kumasi on February 21 dawn.

The five robbers, according to Africa trends, asked the passengers to pray for them after they took away monies and other belongings of the passengers on board the bus with registration number GT-5795-16.

“After the robbery, they asked us to pray for them because it was not their will to stop vehicles on highway and rob passengers of their belongings but the system has compelled them to do so”, a passenger told Africa trends.

In a Facebook post this morning, the Ghana Police Service said it has one suspect in connection to that robbery incident in its custody while two others of that same incident are dead.

“Pray for us” VIP Bus Armed Robbers Nabbed; Two Dead, One in Police Custody”, it posted.

It failed to detail the development but promised, “full details will be communicated in due course”.
