PNC: Apasera As Flag Bearer Was A Mistake; Ghana Is Lucky Not Having Him As A Leader – PNC’s Seidu

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the People’s National Convention (PNC) has expelled its 2020 flag bearer David Apasera, the party’s Chairman Moses Dani Baah, and eleven others for breaching their constitution.

The decision was communicated by the party through a communiqué issued after a meeting held in Accra on Thursday, 12 May 2022.

Ashanti Regional Secretary for the People’s National Convention (PNC), Suleiman Seidu, has asserted that, bringing David Apasera as the party’s 2020 flagbearer was a mistake.

He continued by saying, “we are lucky as a country to have not voted for him as the leader or president of Ghana because that would have been disastrous for the nation”.

Mr. Suleiman Seidu made the assertion in relation to the alleged allegation that, David Apasera and the party’s Chairman Moses Dani Baah with some other executives are responsible for misappropriating the party’s accrued campaign funds of GHC 1.7 million as well as GHC 150,000 raised for party offices building project.

He stated the party will thoroughly scrutinize subsequent flagbearers and embark on the necessary background checks to verify their qualification before giving them such positions.

He added, “we will make sure we bring people who will work tirelessly in the interest of Ghanaians in 2024”.
