Players Will Be Fit Before The League Starts, Kotoko Physical Trainer Assures

Asante Kotoko Physical trainer, Eric Antwi Ofori has assured the teeming fans of the club that players of the fabulous side will be fit for the new season before the actual season starts.

The Ghana Football Association has released fixtures for the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season which is scheduled to kick off the weekend of November 13-16 at match venues across the country.

The season which promises to be a busy one is expected to run through till the weekend of July 16-18, 2021.

The Chief Instructor for Kotoko in an exclusive interview with Opemsuo.com assured the vociferous supporters that the players will be at the necessary height of fitness to aid them compete well in the all competitions.

“Strength and conditioning has become a key part in football, and I thank coach Maxwell Konadu for the opportunity to work with him.”
“Though the players are not in the shape we want them to be currently, we are anticipating they will hit the zenith level before the league starts for them to give their very best for the success of the team.”

He added that, “Football has really changed, and one cannot deemphasize the importance of strength and conditioning coach. Football is more of athletics, push and run than style, and that demands much strength. Eighty percent of football now is fitness which we are really working hard to establish that.”

The Porcupine Warriors have now pitch camp in Koforidua to step up preparations ahead of the season.
