Player Exodus Cannot Stop In Ghana- Coach Tonny Lokko

Head Coach of Ghanaian top flight side International Allies, Anthony Lokko, has stated that player exodus cannot stop in Ghana.

The experienced coach believes that local players deserve better than their current situation and since Ghanaian teams cannot meet their needs, players will continue to travel outside the country every season.

Players moving to diaspora to seek greener pastures to enrich themselves and their families has become one of the problems affecting the colour of the Ghana’s Premier League.

Multiple factors are contributing to this pandemic of which the major one has to do with finance.

The local league, undoubtedly, lack that financial muscles to entice players to stay for long period.

According to one of the best technical brains in the local league, Anthony Lokko, it will be extremely difficult for the Ghana Football Association.

“It will be extremely difficult for us to stop players from travelling to seek greener pastures following how low their salaries are,” said Anthony Lokko in an exclusive interview on Opemsuo 104.7 FM evening sports show, Pramaso.

“Until we are able to pay huge sums of money to our local players, we should forget to keep them in Ghana,” he concluded.

International Allies is one of the teams in the country who are viable in the transfer business.
