Parts of Kumasi Covered With Water.

Residents of Kumasi have called on government to reconstruct the region’s drainage system.
The plea follows series of flooding at various places of the region after every downpour.
Adoato Adomanu, Atafoa, Aputuogya, Sokoban, Aboabo are among several places where residents were affected by the previous day’s heavy downpour.
Some residents were forced to relocate to other places to spend the night while other commercial drivers faced mobility challenges.
“I am a taxi driver. I got home very late due to the flood on our roads. I had to wait for the water to recede. We are pleading with the government to come to our aid”, a resident pleaded.
“Authorities should evacuate structures which are not properly situated”, another resident lamented.
“Government should dilate our bridges, they must be dilated, whenever it rains, it overflow it’s boundaries because of their current state, a resident of Abuakwa Maakro Sepaase narrated.
“Government must attend to our need here at Adoato Adomanu. We get stuck whenever it rains here. Honourable Asenso Boakye is doing his best but he should help us with this one too”, Agyenim Boateng, a resident of Bohyen said.
