Statistics from the Ghana Statistical Service have indicated that over one million Ghanaians aged 15 years and above are unemployed.
1,551,118 Ghanaians are unemployed, the GSS revealed.
Meanwhile, figures from the Service show that 9,990,237 of the country’s population aged 15 and above are actively employed.
Key among the employment figures is the fact that 229,628 children between the ages of 5 and 14 years are engaged in economic activities.
Furthermore, 11,541,355 persons aged 15 years and above are classified in Ghana’s labour force with 8,332, 252 of the same age outside the country’s labour force.
