Otumfuo Presented With His Piece Of The Gold Coin

Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II yesterday received his piece of the Commemorative Gold Coin at his Palace.

A piece of the Commemorative Gold Coin which was launched about a week ago at the Manhyia Palace has been presented to the King by Access Bank, the official banking partners of the Commemorative Gold Coin and EON3 Group.

The CEO of EON3 Group, Mr. Richard Ofori Atta at the palace said that it’s been an honour to have been given the platform to recognize the achievements of a great King of the sort.

‘’we’re here to present Otumfuo’s piece of the coin after its launch”

He added that it is their vision to uphold the good deeds of the King worldwide with the coins and that it is also their hope to see Otumfuo in the parliament of Ghana to partake in the country’s discussions.

“It is our hope to see our King in parliament to lead with an example that the house discussions do not call for misunderstandings and conflicts”.

They have such hope because the King has proven to be a Pillar of Peace.

“We’ve thought of means of spreading the cold coin worldwide because amongst the kingdoms in Africa he’s the only King who’s had his image on a gold coin, the remaining kingdoms will get hold of the coin.

“The president, Joe Biden, and Queen Elizabeth will all get a hold of the coin to attest to the fact that indeed Otumfuo has preached peace over the years.

Asantehene on his side expressed appreciation for recognizing his contribution towards peace in the country adding that peace is essential because democracy and nurturing of people all depends on peace.

“If we choose a peaceful path we will be comfortable and so I will do everything in this country to ensure peace, voting and its up and downs require peace, and so I’ll follow up and come in when necessary, will speak the truth always because I hate none and love all, I’m grateful for the honours.

“A country’s development depends on peace, the youth can be raised through peace, democracy is all about peace and that moves us to contribute our quota.

He stated that when there is peace, there is truthfulness and that he will do everything in his power to protect and develop the two virtues.

The recognition he said is for God and Asanteman.
