The Midday news bulletin of Opemsuo radio was taken over by some traders at the Kumasi racecourse market as part of the outdoor programme marking the second anniversary of the radio station.
The “Adwadie news” was cast by three market traders namely Baffuor Kyei Kyekyeku, Kaakyire Badu aka Osikani, and Nana Ama Agyemang.
Our usual Midday broadcasters, Adebi Nkonsaa, and Maame Adwoa Esuon stood aside for the three traders to cast the news which centered on security, sanitation, health, and infrastructure.
They were fed with live reports from different sections of the market by Nana Afia Asieduwaa, and Dina Antwi, two of the market women.
Baffuor Kyei Kyekyeku is secretary for the market traders; Kaakyire Badu a.k.a. Osikani is secretary for Plantain traders in the market while Nana Ama Agyemang is head of garden egg traders at the Kumasi racecourse market.
Opemsuo radio today, May 13, 2022, has moved out of the Manhyia palace where it is located to the racecourse market in Kumasi as part of programmes to mark its second birthday.
