OCRC: Student Of Andrews Adventist Makes It As Maakro Champion

A student of the Andrews Adventist Junior High School (JHS) has found her way to become the winner at the community stage competition of the Otumfuo Community Reading Challenge (OCRC).

She goes by the name Yaa Tiwaa Antwi Boasiako and she will be representing her community, the Maakro Community, in the Kick-out stage of the competition and if possible, in the final stage of the competition as well.

She is fourteen years old.

She was discovered on April 26, 2022, when the team found its way in the community.

She received five hundred cedis cash from Konahene Nana Konadu Yiadom IV as part of his GHc30, 000 cash prize to all community stage Champions.

Her school, the Andrews Adventist Junior High School (JHS), also received Ghc500 from Tredehene Nana Nuben Sra III as part of his Ghc30, 000 cash prize to schools of community champions.

She becomes the twelfth champion to be discovered at the community level after Maame Asarewaa Adu Gyamfi, the Nkawie Champion, Henry Dwight Yorke, the Abuakwa champion, Michael Asuako, the Tanoso Champion, Mary Afriyie Manu, the Nyankyerenease champion and Stansy Akua Karikari, the Asuoyeboah Community Champion.

The rest includes; Davis Amankona, the Atwima-Techiman community champion, Joyceline Owusu, the Twedie community Champion, Emmanuel Agyekum, the Kwadaso community champion, Stella Darko, the Agric community champion, Constance Boadiwaa, the Kronum Champion and Lordina Darko Junior, the Bremang champion.
