NPP Should Call Kennedy To Order- Ken Korankye

Editor for Daily Searchlight, Mr. Ken Agyei Korankye has indicated that the case of Multimedia Group against Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Honourable Kennedy Agyepong will soon take political stance.
Speaking on Nkwantananso show on opemsuo radio, the editor conceded that Honourable Agyepong was wrong in the way he made pronouncements against a worker of the Multimedia Group.
“This issue might later become a political issue and the main issue will lose its essence. “
“Such that since it is Kennedy Agyepong we are talking about, all NPP members will support him and the NDC will take the opposite stance and then we will all forget that the Honourable Member of Parliament was wrong in his utterances”, he predicted.
He however called on the New Patriotic Party to call the Assin Central MP to order.
He noted that the utterances of the MP in question puts the name of the NPP in disrepute.
“The NPP should try to call Kennedy to order because some of his pronouncements drag the name of our party into the mud”, he admitted.
He however find the Speaker of Parliament’s referral of the case, a step in the right direction.
“The decision to refer the case to the Privileges Committee of Parliament is good”, he added.
Nevertheless security analyst, Adam Bona believes the complaint filed against the MP is a lost case.
According to him, no one can put him to order.
Multimedia Group has filed a formal complaint with the Ashanti Regional Police Command against the Assin Central MP for instigating the public against one of the media group’s journalist, Erastus Asare Donkor.
The MP on a live program on his TV station “called for serious beatings” to the said Journalist for misreporting the Ejura riot and also his testimony before the Three Member Committee probing the riot.
This comment is not the first time from the MP. He made a similar comment on an Investigative journalist, Ahmed Suale, who later was murdered.
