National Security reacts to claims of Caleb Kuda over assault


The Ministry of National Security has responded to alleged brutality against Citi tv/fm’s Caleb Kuda and Zoe Abu Baidoo.

The two were arrested for interrogation on Tuesday May 11, 2021, after “Caleb was sighted taking footages of restricted area, at the Ministry. ”

According to the ministry, he forwarded the footages to his colleague, Zoe Abu Baidoo”

On Wednesday, 12th May, 2021, Caleb In an interview revealed he was physically assaulted by some members of the National Security.

Following these claims, the National Security has issued a communique stating it has Launched an investigation to ascertain the truth behind the claims.

“The Ministry, takes with all seriousness, the allegations of manhandling of the two journalists during the interrogation. The ministry has therefore initiated an investigations into the said allegations.

“The Ministry of National Security wishes to assure the general public that the appropriate actions will be taken if the allegations are found to be true”, the statement said

Meanwhile the National Security has received backslashes from ASEPA and Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa over the allegations.
