AMOS FRIMPONG CALLS ON GOVT TO RESCUE STRANDED GHANAIAN PLAYERS
Former Asante Kotoko captain and right-back, Amos Frimpong, has called on Government of Ghana to rescue players in the diaspora following the horrible ordeals they are going through.
Ghanaian footballers in Ethiopia, Botswana and Guinea-Bissau through videos shared on social media have called on Government to come to their aid.
Most Africa countries have cancelled their respective leagues by the virtue of the outbreak of the novel COVID-19 leaving most foreign nationals in anxiety.
In an interview on Opemsuo evening sports show, Pramaso, AS Kaloum Stars defender, Amos Frimpong said, “It is a terrible situation my colleagues are going through which need Government of Ghana intervention”
“The kind of amount they are charging as hotel bills for the mandatory two weeks quarantine is outrageous. I think the Government should absorb or reduce it for us to be able to pay” he made an emotional appeal.
“My situation is not bad because AS Kaloum Stars have put a lot in place to assuage the burdens of their players,” he disclosed.
