New Chief of Pampaso Swore Allegiance To Otumfuo

The new chief of Pampaso, Nana Gyamfi Kumanin III has sworn allegiance to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the Kumasi Traditional Council yesterday, April 28, at the Manhyia Palace.

Before swearing the oath of allegiance, the Asantehene counsel him never to leave out his responsibility as chief since traditionally, he regards Pampaso chief as his uncle, since the sister of Pampaso chief is his mothers. Therefore, they are related by blood and from the same Oyoko clan.

The Asantehene advised him never to dishonor him but instead, honor him by taking up responsibility as a chief to develop the town since where he is presiding is the Head of Asanteman and must perform all the necessary rights to keep the abode sanity. Also, to diligently serve the people and the Queen-mother, who delegated him to the council for approval.

The Asantehene further stated that now that Pampaso and Essumenya had new chiefs, the route is clear for him to celebrate the Odwira celebration.

All the divisions in the council also took their turns earlier to advise the new chief to humble himself and to lead his town as a visionary leader since chieftaincy is about serving.
The Ankobea division advised the chief to learn the history of Pampaso stool well and to also serve the queen with humility and that will be the genesis of his greatness.

The Nkosuo division also advised him to be truthful to the Golden Stool and Asantehene.
