MLNR: 270 Wildlife Guards End Training With Military
Two hundred and seventy (270) forest guards from the wildlife division of the Forestry Commission of Ghana have successfully completed eighteen days of training with the military.
The Ministry of Lands and Natural (MLNR) resources noted that the trainees went through some physical training activities such as weapon handling, dismantling and reassembling of guns, target shooting and Tae-Kwan-Do training defence among others.
The passing out ceremony was held at the 64 Infantry Regiment command today, May 25, 2022, the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources stated in a statement.
In attendance was Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resource, Benito Owusu-Bio, the Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission, Mr John Allotey and other officials from the Commission Ghana.
Addressing the trainees and staff, MLNR reports that Owusu-Bio admonished the trained guards to go out to their various stations ready to protect the Forests and the wild animals with the training and discipline they have acquired.
