Ministry Of Interior Publishes 2022 Holidays

The Ministry of Interior has indicated that the year 2022 has thirteen statutory public holidays for Ghanaians.

Two out of the thirteen- New Year’s Day which fell on January 1 and Constitutional Day which was on January 7 have already been observed.

Except for Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-Adha whose dates were not provided for the reason that the dates are yet to be provided by the chief Imam, the rest of the holidays are fixed in March, April, May, August, September, and December.

It was also emphasized that July 1 and May 25 which were previously public holidays marking Republic Day and AU Day respectively, will be commemorated, however, they shall not be observed as holidays.
