Light Falls On Michael Asuako As Tanoso Community Reading Champion

Michael Asuako, a student of the Prempeh Experimental Basic C has emerged winner in the Community Stage at Tanoso in the Otumfuo Community Reading Challenge (OCRC).

He was among forty-eight (48) contestants from nine (9) schools competing in the Tanoso community.

He becomes the third community champion found after Maame Asarewaa Adu Gyamfi, the Nkawie community Champion and Henry Dwight Yorke, the Abuakwa community Champion since the Community stage began with over four thousand registered students.

The organisers of the reading challenge are now up for fifty-seven more community champions for the next stage, the Kick-out.

Michael, 14, was presented with a five hundred cedis (GHc500) cash prize from the Konahene Nana Konadu Yiadom Kumanin IV as part of his GHC30,000 cash prize to all 60 Community Champions.

His school, Prempeh Experimental Basic C, also received GHc500 from the Tredehene Nana Nuben Sra III as part of his GHc30,000 cash prize to 60 schools of the Community Champions.

The next stop for another community champion is Nyankyereniase.
