Lady Julia To Launch ‘16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence’

Her Royal Highness, Lady Julia Osei Tutu will today, November 25 which is the ‘International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women’, launch a campaign against gender-based violence.

The multimedia campaign organized by the United States Embassy in Ghana is dubbed “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence”.

The 16 Days campaign is a global effort that raises awareness about violence against women and girls. The campaign will feature Ghanaian champions in the fight against gender-based violence, as well as a variety of in-person and virtual programs.

The campaign will run through December 10, which is also International Human Rights Day, where the United States ambassador to Ghana, Stephanie S. Sullivan will draw the curtain on the campaign.

It will highlight key Ghanaian personalities (champions) throughout the campaign.

The campaign is marked with the hashtags; #16days, #16DaysofActivismGh, #EndGBV, and #OrangetheWorld.
