KiDi, Black Sheriff, Gyakie and other Ghanaian acts nominated for AFRIMA 2022

The All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA is here again and various Ghanaian acts have been nominated for this year’s edition.

The awards event was established by the International Committee AFRIMA, in collaboration with the African Union to reward and celebrate musical works, talents, and creativity around the African continent while promoting the African cultural heritage.

This year’s edition saw the likes of Black Sheriff, KiDi, Gyakie, Camidoh, Amaarae, and DJ Nektunez being nominated for various categories which is a big win for Ghana.

Black Sheriff who has recently been nominated for BET Hip Hop Awards Best International Flow, bagged three nominations at the AFRIMA which are Best Male Act in West Africa, Best Act in Hip Hop, and Song of the Year.

Headies 2022 West African Artiste of the Year, Gyakie also bagged the Best Female Act in West Africa.

VGMA and 3 Music Awards reigning Artiste of the Year and Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year KiDi was once again nominated for the Best Reggae in the AFRIMA.

American-based Ghanaian act, Amaarae was nominated for the Best Soundtrack in Movies.

Camidoh and DJ Nektunez were nominated for the Breakthrough Act of the Year and African Fan Favourite respectively.
