Kenyase BECE candidates get free mathematical set

Some six hundred and seventy-four (674) Basic Education Certificate Examination candidates have benefitted from the distribution of free mathematical sets by the chief of Kwabre-Kenyase, Barima Fredua Agyemang Ababio.

The seven (7) schools that are benefitting from the donation included; Kenyase JHS A, Kenyase JHS B, Barima Owusu Agyemang SDA, Brofoyedu JHS, Adwumam Manhyia JHS, Buobai JHS, and Kwamang Schools.

Barima Fredua said his inspiration is from Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s drive to promote education in the Ashanti region and the country at large.

The initiative which was started last year by the chief of the Kwabre-Kenyase traditional council upon his enstoolment has seen over one thousand students benefiting.

“I want to set an example for young ones. The little I have is not mine alone, God didn’t give it to me because of me”, he said and wished them the best in the exam.

The 2021 BECE will begin on Monday, November 15, 2021with 571,894 candidates nationwide.
