Kennedy Agyapong: Dishonesty Makes Doing Business In Ghana Difficult

The Member of Parliament for Assin Central Constituency in the Central Region, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, says dishonesty has made the cost of doing business in Ghana cumbersome.

According to the maverick MP, Indians, Lebanese, and Chinese who brought their indigenes who are honest, their companies are more booming than Ghanaian companies.

“We have to be truthful to ourselves. As an employer, I need to be a good caretaker to my employee company as far as livelihood is concerned”, he stressed.

The Assin Central Lawmaker expressed worry over the fact that workers in Ghanaian companies frustrate their own other working colleagues who are working hard for the certain company.

Hon. Agyapong said that frustrated actions and inactions are negative attitudes that are not helping the country’s business activities.

“Apart from Government harsh policies towards business, the level of dishonesty in the country has also contributed greatly making the cost of doing business in the country difficult”, he stated.

Hon. Kennedy stated that all is not lost in the country as he has made his mind clear to contest their party’s upcoming presidential primaries as far as his presidential ambition is concerned.

He said, when given the nod as President, he will use hundred days in office to conscientize Ghanaians to take the country at heart.

Furthermore, he quizzes, “Ghanaians go abroad and work to judge as best workers why can we do same in Ghana”?

The Legislator indicated that all the systems in foreign countries are working effectively and are not compromised by any interferences and flimsy excuses.

To buttress his point, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong stated there are no good managers in the country in prospective companies.

He blamed Ghanaian Politicians as far as political interference and pressure are concerned.
