Kantanka Automobile CEO Worried Over Its “Seized” Bullion Vans

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Kantanka Automobile Company Limited, Nana Kwadwo Safo Jnr, has expressed worry over the Interior Ministry’s decision to hold up its bullion vans for months.

According to him, the vans have been in the Ministry’s possession for the past seven months.

He finds these actions give an advantage to his competitors which create room for foreign industries in the country to dominate the market while the local industries cripple.

“I counted 8 bullion vehicles made by my competitors this morning on my way to the office. Sad how our very OWN Kantanka bullion vehicles have been locked by the Interior ministry since February. Are we as a country honestly helping local industries???”, he said in a tweet 23 hours ago.

He indicated that it has satisfied all requirements yet to no avail.

“All effort has been made to clear these vehicles since February. The most annoying part of this up and down is. We have already paid all charges and duty. Money was received but vehicles haven’t been released.”

In another tweet, he said, “The exchange rate has already crippled most local industries. Instead of us to push and help the local manufacturers and assemblers. We are rather supporting the competition”.
