Kaaka Family Visits National Chief Imam

The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Nuhu Sharubutu has expressed concern over the delayed pace and silent nature of investigation into the murder of social activist, Ibrahim Mohammed.
Speaking through his spokesperson, Sheikh Aremeyaw Shaibu, when the family of Kaaka called on the National Chief Imam, he said, “I am also concerned, I am also affected that I have not heard anything from the investigations.”
He assured that “I will make my advisory board to get involve and find out exactly where we are, with respect to the investigation so that we will find solution to the problem and also establish justice”
Speaking to the press, legal advisor to the family who doubles as Convener of the #Fixthecountry movement, Mawusi Oliver Barker Vormawor said they petitioned Sheikh Nuhu due to his position as the representative of God in Ghana.
According to him, the medium of the Sheikh can be used to draw justice for Iddi Mohammed.
“We know that the police retrieved two large sticks that Kaaka was beaten with from the scene but they said only Iddi Killed Kaaka. We know that two other individuals were arrested by the police and are being held by the police but they have told all the media that Iddi killed Kaaka. Why? So today we have come here to the Chief Imam to appeal to him; he who is a representative of the prophet and of Allah here in Ghana, that if members of the Ummah are hurt in this country, he should speak for them and on their behalf.
“The justice that his voice can provide, no law court can give the family. A couple of days ago, Iddi told the family that policemen came to hold him and forced him to thumbprint a paper he did not understand. We requested for an audience with the IGP but nobody listened to us. If we have come today to the National Chief Imam, we believe that his voice can provide that justice”, he said.
