Jill Biden Tests Positive For COVID

Jill Biden tested positive for COVID-19 , the White House confirmed on Tuesday morning to DailyMail.com 

The positive diagnosis comes as the Biden’s wrap up their family vacation in Kiawah Island, South Carolina – and just a few weeks after President Joe Biden had the virus himself.

The first lady is experiencing mild symptoms and has started a round of Paxlovid treatment.

President Biden tested negative for COVID Tuesday morning after taking an antigen test.

‘Consistent with Centres for CDC guidance because he is a close contact of the First Lady, he will mask for 10 days when indoors and in close proximity to others,’ the White House said.

‘We will also increase the President’s testing cadence and report those results.’

Jill’s spokesperson Elizabeth Alexander said she tested negative for coronavirus on Monday morning, before she started experiencing ‘cold-like symptoms’ later Monday evening. 

‘Close contacts of the First Lady have been notified,’ Alexander added.
