Islamic SHS Students Hospitalised After Clash With Police
Dozens of students of the Islamic Senior High School in Kumasi have been admitted to various hospitals in Kumasi after they clashed with some security personnel during a protest.
The injured students were taken to the Suntreso General Hospital, SDA Hospital in Kwadaso, Manhyia Government hospital, County hospital, and others.
The students took to the streets on June 13, 2022, in the morning to protest over the lack of a speed ramp in front of the school.
The absence of a speed ramp results in frequent accidents with a recent one on Friday, June 10, 2022, involving their teacher, reports say.
Following the clash, the Inspector General of Police, George Akufo Dampare is in Kumasi touring the scene of the incident, the school, and the various hospitals where the victims have been admitted.
