Baby Harvesting and Human Trafficking: Two medical doctors and nine other persons arrested.
A joint press release by the medical and dental council (MDC) and the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) dated January 20th 2020 on baby harvesting and Human Trafficking in the country.
The Medical and Dental Council and the Economic and Organised Crime Office have been investigating the activities of some medical practitioners, nurse, social welfare officers and other individuals who were suspected to be engaged in the illegal act of baby harvesting and human trafficking.
As a results of these investigations, two medical doctors, two social workers, four nurses, two mothers and one traditional birth attendant have been arrested so far on bail pending further investigations.
