The numerous expenditure cuts by the Nana Addo government did not affect the flagship Free Senior High School policy as earlier anticipated by the public.
Just like the Free SHS, all other flagship programmes of the government were spared.
The Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta explained that the President has no intention of rolling back on any of them.
“Let me say this, president Akufo-Addo has no intention to roll back on any major policy like the free SHS. We see education as the best and abler force for sustainable economic growth and transformation and social mobility and will do more to improve on it and for it to serve more and better our children”, he said.
The Finance Minister made these submissions during a press conference to announce measures put in place to alleviate economic hardships.
