Ghana Records Inflation Of 27% In 2nd Quarter Of 2022

Ghana has recorded an inflation rate of 27.0% in the second quarter of 2022 according to statistics from the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS).

The figure is a jump from the 16.3% in the first quarter of this year.

In April 2022, Ghana recorded an inflation rate of 23.6%; In May, it recorded 27.6% inflation and in June 2022, it recorded 29.8%.

The average of these figures accounts for the 27.0% inflation put out by the GSS for the second quarter.

The second quarter inflation rate is quite higher compared to the first quarter of 2022 as well as the last two quarters of 2021.
