Ghana Audit Service Embarks On Infrastructural Projects In The Ashanti Region

 
Ghana Audit Service is set to commence the establishment of a regional office at Danyame a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The Infrastructural project consists of 3 district offices at Ofinso, Efigyaase and Tepa including a guest house project also in Kumasi.
The auditors in a visit to Manhyia Palace disclosed to Asantehene that the project includes renovation of existing audit service offices.
The Acting Auditor-General, Mr. Johnson Akuamoah Asiedu reported that their outlet is working towards the eradication of misinterpretation of audit service reports on the side of citizens.
Subsequently, training sessions established to enhance public knowledge and comprehension of audit reports and to ensure swift work procedures through the application of technology on the side of staff.
He informed that currently, they have about seven reports at their disposal and are working on some five others.
Together with the Auditor-General at Manhyia Palace was the Deputy Auditor-General in Charge of Performance Audit, Mr. Lawrence Ayagiba, the Deputy Auditor-General in Charge of Finance, Mr. Mohammed Zakaria Ali and other Board Members.
Asantehene used the occasion in advising the auditors, to give room for explanation by managers during auditing periods so as to improve upon accuracy.
His Majesty established that, the work as an auditor, is a sacrificial one since they are responsible for the regulation of tax incomes as well as identifying shortcomings hence demands truthfulness for an excellent outcome.
