Free SHS: “I thought Akufo-Addo was paying lip service” – NPP Communicator

A communication team member of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Raphael Sarfo Patrick has commended President Akufo-Addo for the successful implementation of the flagship program; Free Senior High School Education.
“Initially as a communicator, I thought Nana Akufo-Addo was just paying lip service. Now I have come to believe that the President keeps his promises”, Raphael Sarfo revealed on Opemsuo 104.7 FM.
The Free Senior High School has been one of the top priorities of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Government as it was a major campaign promise prior to 2008, 2012 and the 2016 elections respectively.
The NPP after winning the 2016 general elections said it is determined to roll out the programme that seeks to give free Senior High School education to about 400, 000 students across the country.
However, some individuals and groups both within and outside the party warned the Government to make better preparations to ensure its sustainability. A former Defense Minister, Dr. Kwame Addo Kuffour, who is also a staunch member of the party earlier admonished.
“We all have no idea how it was going to be implemented but now the policy has been executed successfully”, the NPP Communicator pointed out to host, George Opoku Mensah (Agudey) on Nkwantananso Show.
