FDA Shuts Down Marwako Restaurant Over Complaints Of Food Poisoning

The Food and Drugs Authority says it has closed down the East Legon branch of Marwako restaurant.

This was after a series of reports of food poisoning allegations flooded social media from persons who had reportedly eaten from the Marwako branch at East Legon.

In reaction to this, the FDA said it has taken notice of complaints from the public about the suspected food poisoning at the East Legon branch of Marwako Restaurant.

Investigations have begun, the FDA said, noting that it is a collaboration with other relevant agencies.

“We wish to assure the general public that the issue would be thoroughly investigated and appropriate actions taken.

“Additionally, FDA is ensuring the strict implementation of its protocols to prevent any further harm to the public”, it assured.
