Ex Asante Kotoko Player Narrates How Teammate Committed Suicide In Germany

Asante Kotoko Football Club together with the fans have experienced so many great players. Most would remember Osei Bonsu who was also known as Africa was one top notch winger for the club.

Many footballers after retirement decide reside outside the country to make a living aside from football. This was the same situation with Africa after he left Ghana to settle in Germany with his family when he retired.

Osei Bonsu Africa, was a victim of misunderstanding and issues in marriage which rose beyond the control of the former footballer to extent of the police getting involved.

Joe Debrah who was his teammate at Kotoko and also lived with him in Germany explained to Sports Journalist Dan Kwaku Yeboah in an interview that the police has to vacate Africa from his house while they give his wife time for her to calm down as a way to resolve their issues.

While packing his stuff with the help of his friend Silas in his room, Africa locked his door and jumped out of the window and fell from their tall building.

Joe Debrah explained that the building Africa jumped out from was quite tall because he has been to his house before and knows that anyone who will fall from the top will eventually die.

The death of Osei Bonsu was sad to bear for all especially the generation of Asante Kotoko supporters and football lovers who witnessed his master class on the field.
