The Ghanaian Embassy in the United Arab Emirates has rubbished speculation that Ghanaian passport holders can secure free visa to the United Arab Emirates.
The Memoradum of Understanding of Mutual Exemption of Entry Visa requirement was presented before Parliament by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shirley Ayorkor Botchey, which was destined to provide visa waiver to travellers to UAE.
After the agreement’s referral to the Foreign Affairs Committee of Parliament for review, it was rectified and approved by Parliament.
Following this, it was broadcast that visa to UAE is free for Ghanaian Passport holders.
The Ghana Embassy in the UAE has urged the public to disregard the news.
According to a statement issued by the Ghana Embassy in the UAE, “though the aggreement has been ratified by the Parliament of Ghana, the processes for its implementation have not been completed.
