Caprice Robbery: 2 Suspects Killed, 1 Arrested
Two of the suspects in the Caprice robbery have been shot dead by police with one other in police custody.
The Ghana Police Service in a statement said it is after the rest of the gang.
The suspects were among a gang that attacked and shot a woman at Caprice in Accra on Friday, December 9, 2022.
In a statement on Friday, the police said special intelligence and operations teams had been deployed to trace and arrest the suspects involved.
It added that the female victim of the robbers was in stable condition and receiving medical attention.
The three suspects were found at their undisclosed hideout by the police on Friday through an intelligence operation, the police said.
“The robbers engaged the police in a shootout and in the process, two were shot dead and one was arrested”, the statement added.
According to the service, a police officer also sustained a gunshot injury to his thigh through the process and is receiving medical attention.
“The police intelligence operations continue to get the rest of the gang members arrested and we wish to assure the public that we will surely get them.”
