Background
A news report that has taken over the social media space and attracted public attention, highlighted a middle-aged woman who was allegedly involved in accident and got admitted to Trauma and Specialist Hospital in Winneba.

The report said she later got dumped in a bush when her relatives failed to show up.

“The woman about 40 to 45 years was found with PoP on both legs and covered with cloth and lying in a bush. After interviewing some residents, we were told an ambulance from the Trauma and Specialist Hospital in Winneba dumped her day in a wheelchair. No one in the town knew her and where she was left is the outskirt of the town. She later died,” the report filed by UTV said.

The reporter indicated that the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr George Prah, confirmed dumping the woman to her fate.

“He said she was involved in an accident about two months ago and was conveyed to their facility alongside other victims but unlike other patients, no one came to identify as her relative. He said the accident took a toll on her mental stability and left her screaming sometimes, proving to be a challenge for the facility. According to him, after unsuccessful attempts to find her relatives, they decided to leave her in the Ojobi town where she said she lived.”
