Brighton Bring on Fabian Hürzeler after De Zerbi

English Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion have gone in for the services of Fabian Hürzeler after the departure of Roberto De Zerbi.

De Zerbi and Brighton parted on mutual grounds after their 2-0 loss to Manchester United at home in their last premier league game on May 19.

Fabian was announced as the next coach over the weekend, becoming the youngest manager in EPL with a deal effective until 2027.

“We are pleased to confirm that Fabian Hürzeler will become our new men’s first-team head coach,” the club said in a statement.

Having reached an agreement with St Pauli and secured the necessary governing body endorsement from The Football Association, the club is now in a position to apply for a work permit for the 31-year-old.

According to Chairman Tony Bloom, Fabian’s style of play aligns with the Brighton & Hove Albion team to play.

“I’m confident it is one our supporters will appreciate and enjoy. Fabian also has an excellent coaching pedigree and has worked with the German federation at various age group levels. We are really excited to start working with Fabian to prepare for the upcoming season.”

He will be unveiled at a news conference on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
