Ashanti Police assures of adequate security ahead of NPP Primaries

As the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) prepares towards the polls to elect Parliamentary Candidates for the December 7, general elections today, June 20, 2020, security capos have assured delegates and the people particularly those in the Ashanti Region of adequate security.
Contrary to reports that heavily built men working for some aspirants are planning to cause confusion at some polling stations, Opemsuo.com’s Kwabena Danso-Dapaah reports “the Ghana Police Service has indicated readiness to deal mercilessly with trouble makers”.
The Regional Police Command says they are ready to ensure the safety of lives before, during and after the congress and will ensure a peaceful election.
“Police is ready for any eventuality. Anyone or group of persons who decide to go contrary to the law will meet their match”, Regional Commander, COP Kwasi Duku Ampofo, notified.
He added that enough personnel are currently on the ground monitoring events.
