Asante Students Union Donates To Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development

Asante Students Union (ASU), a student wing at the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) in Kumasi has donated a number of dustbins to their school.

The donation which was made yesterday at the forecourt of the University forms part of their contribution to keep the environment of the University clean for Lecturers, Students as well as other workers on the campus.

Six (6) big dustbins were handed to the University at a short ceremony on Tuesday, 9th February 2021.

Presenting the items to the School at a short yet colourful ceremony, the Chief of Asante Students Union, Nana Kofi Adu-Brempong said, “During ASU@40 anniversary last year, our patron, Dr. Kwame Bawuah Edusei promised to give us six dustbins to be handed to the University as part of our contribution even as students to ensure a clean and conducive environment for learning to both Asante students and non Asante students.”

“We believe that this will go a long way to help the school in keeping the school clean,” he added.

The Estate Manager for Akenten Appiah-Minkah University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development, Nana Akoto Baffour, who received the items on behalf of the University lauded the students as well as Dr. Kwame Bawuah Edusei for their timely contribution.

“I would like to thank you and Dr. Kwame Bawuah Edusei who started this wing on behalf of the University for your thoughtfulness. The University can only be grateful to you and implore you to do more for the school.”

Asante Students Union (ASU) is a student wing comprising only indigenous Asante people who are furthering their tertiary education on various campuses.

Their sole aim is to create a soothing environment for learning for students who have gained admission to further their education as well as inculcating the Traditions and Customs in the students.
