Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium To Host Kotoko Champions League Matches
Asante Kotoko Management as well as the Technical staff have resolved not to use Accra Sports Stadium for the 2020/21 CAF Champions League competition.
The two-time CAF Champions League winners will play their home matches at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale following the jam-packed nature of the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Accra Sports Stadium is hosting Hearts of Oak, Accra Great Olympics, Legon Cities and International Allies.
The original home grounds for Asante Kotoko, Baba Yara Stadium, is still not ready for football activities due to the renovation works ongoing to keep the stadium in good shape.
The Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko will play its first match which is the return fixture of the CAF Champions League preliminary match against FC Nouadhibou after securing 1:1 draw with the Mauritanian FC Nouadhibou.
