EPA Nods Kwahu Airport Limited Construction, Operation
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has permitted the Kwahu Airport Limited to construct and operate an airport in the Eastern Region.
The airport will be situated at the Nkwantanang-Ahinase in the Kwahu East District of the Eastern region of Ghana.
The authorisation is in accordance with the Environmental Assessment Regulations 1999 (Li 1652).
A picture of the permit was shared on Facebook by the Member of Parliament for Mpraeso Constituency, Davis Ansah Opoku.
A part of the permit read, “This is to authorise Kwahu Airports Limited to commence the proposed construction and operation as per the attached schedule”.
The permit number is C10048140102 and signed by Deputy Executive Director /Technician Services of the EPA, Ebenezer Apaah Sampong.
It was issued on March 10, 2022, and will remain effective till September 9, 2023.
