Explosion At Apiate, Scores Feared Dead, GhOne TV Reports
An explosion occurred today, January 20, 2022, at Apiate in the Western region, the Ghana Police Service has reported in a Facebook post.
The police say it happened this afternoon, however failed to give the exact time it happened.
The police noted that details will be communicated later.
But sharing a video of a blazing truck, GhOne TV reports that fatalities have been recorded.
GhOne captioned, “Scores feared dead in Bogoso fire explosion”
Per information from the police, Apiate is between Bogoso and Bawdie in the Western Region.
“The Police and other emergency service providers have activated a full emergency recovery exercise. We urge all to remain calm as we manage this unfortunate situation”, the police stated.
