Okudzeto Boasts Of Achievements In 26th November Budget Rejection
Member of Parliament for North Tongu constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has elaborated several achievements the Minority caucus has made after it “rejected” the 2022 Budget Statement and Economic Policy Statement of Government.
The Minority, after rejecting the economic policy statement on November 26 issued a list of things it wanted the government to review before the budget is approved, which included the E-levy, Agyapa deal, Aker deal, tidal waves victims, and import benchmark for some goods.
Except for the E-levy, which the MP said is still under review, the rest have been sorted, he implied.
“Government commits to phase 2 of Blekuso Coastal Protection Project, Agyapa abandoned, Benchmark reviewed, Aker deal amended and no more automatic adjustments on fees and charges which covers more than 2000 items.
“Government finally agrees to shift position on 1.75% E-levy- negotiation continues on this”, he tweeted.
